Chartered in 1988, Rho Mu Omega Chapter of Washington, DC is located in the North Atlantic Region of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Our focus is serving the community through our international and local program activities. Join the Rho Mu Omega Chapter, Health Promotion Committee as we enjoy the spring weather, each others' company, and exercise to promote a heart healthy life. Due to last year's overwhelming response, we are going back to the Billy Goat Trail on Saturday, April 30 2016 at 11:08am.

This year we have three different level's of participation. 
   *  Walk to Trail B and back   
   *  Walk Trail B
   *  Jog to Trail B then Hike Trail B

2016 College Scholarship Applications are Available

Application Deadline is Friday, May 6, 2016
Rho Mu Omega chapter in conjunction with DC Pearls III Foundation, Inc. awards  a minimum of four (4) General Scholarships at $2,000; one (1) Barbara P. Davis Scholarship in Education and one (1) Angela Ducker Richardson Memorial Scholarship in Health and Science. The Education Award amount will be a minimum of $500 and the Health and Science Award will be a minimum of $1,000.

The General Scholarships are awarded to a graduating senior from a District of Columbia High School and requires no specific major. The Education Scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior who will be majoring in Education. The Health and Science Award is awarded to a graduating senior who will be majoring in a health or science field. All graduating high school seniors must attend an HBCU.
